Media Statement – Directions Hearing

The Commission will hold a directions hearing at 11am on Friday 27 October 2023 via Microsoft Teams.

At the hearing, Commissioner Bennett AC SC will address any necessary interlocutory issues before hearings commence on Monday 30 October 2023.

Anyone who wishes to attend the directions hearings should email public@dnaproject13inquiry.qld.gov.au

Public hearings will begin Monday, 30 October at 10am in Brisbane Magistrates Court, Courtroom 40, and be livestreamed via the website.
Journalists and members of the media will have access to a media room on level 8.

Please refer to the media protocol for this Inquiry for information on what is permitted during the hearings.

A transcript will be made available of the proceedings following both the morning session, and the afternoon session for each day of hearings.
